5 September 2016 to 9 September 2016

On the 5th and 6th of September 2016, a status conference for the funding programme “Sustainable Economy” (“NaWi”) will take place at the Bergischen Universität in Wuppertal.

The objective of the status conference is to inform the project teams of the 30 sponsored “NaWi” projects about one another’s interim results as well as to strengthen the exchange between project teams. The event is centered on short project presentations in two parallel sessions. The projects are organised by thematic clusters in such a way that the presentation and discussion of the interim results support networking and an overreaching thematic integration of projects.

Alongside the presentations, there will be a keynote on the subject of “Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Germany” as well as a podium discussion on the subject of “Transformation of the Economic toward Sustainability” to round out the program. The status conference begins on the 5th of September at 3pm and ends on the 6th of September at 6pm.

Directly following the status conference will be 7th International Sustainability Transitions (IST) Conference, which will be hosted by the Wuppertal Institute and the Bergische Universität Wuppertal.

The title of the conference is “Exploring Transition Research as Transformative Science.” The conference takes place 6-9 September. More information can be found at the conference website. The funding programme “Sustainable Economy” will be represented with its own panel at a session parallel to Sustainable Economy.
